Israel is denying the Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahiya fuel, again. How many times have we seen this play out since 10/7? People will die who otherwise could survive if hospitals run out of fuel. Additionally, today 8/27, humanitarian operations have been forced to stop during the forced displacement of refugees in Deir el-Balah, including the polio vaccination campaign. The UN had to relocate their base of operations there after Israel's ground invasion of Rafah, and now they're being forced to move yet again. Yesterday, 7 Palestinians were murdered by Israel while they were trying to fish off the coast of Gaza City. Whether people try to feed themselves or rely on humanitarian organizations, Israel has continually, intentionally taken all avenues for Palestinians to eat away. People are starving to death right now.
Then, there are the ongoing gross human rights violations occurring against Palestinians in Israeli "military prisons" - concentration death camps. Many hostages are medical care workers, and Human Rights Watch recently released a report consolidating their testimony of being tortured. Palestinians are being sexually assaulted, tortured, attacked, and so many other psychological, physical, and sexual horrors. There has been so much talk about alleged sexual violence that Hamas committed on 10/7, but little to no regard for the verified, systematic sexual violence against Palestinians. I'm absolutely disgusted with the double standard.
I demand you do everything in your power to:
– Hold Israel accountable to a permanent, immediate ceasefire and for their repeat violations of international law
– Call for the immediate end of Israel’s occupation and apartheid
- Support Palestinians in their fight for freedom and peace
– Secure the immediate release and safety of all hostages, including Palestinians held by Israel in "military prisons", including those whose indefinite detention began prior to 10/7
– Permanently end all monetary, diplomatic, and military aid given to Israel and enforce U.S. laws like Leahy Law and the Arms Export Control Act
– Resume full funding of UNRWA and allocate more funds to aid humanitarian efforts to rebuild Gaza, and provide Palestinians with the resources to survive and thrive
– Immediately withdraw all U.S. troops, military assets, and all other assets deployed throughout the Middle East and cease all actions that further escalate a larger regional conflict
- Void all anti-BDS laws and other laws that infringe on my right to freedom of speech to criticize any political ideology or country, and to use my money in ways that align with my values
