Protect Washingtonians from a corrupt federal administration

I am writing to express my deep concern about the Trump administration’s proposed budget, which includes cutting $880 billion from non-defense spending. These cuts threaten essential programs that Washingtonians rely on, including healthcare, education, transportation, and social services. Additionally, I am troubled by the divisive rhetoric President Trump has used to target blue states, raising questions about how Washington will protect itself from potential federal retaliation.
As a Washington resident, I appreciate your past work as Attorney General and current work in standing up for our state’s values, and I trust that you will continue to advocate for our interests as Governor. However, given the current political climate, I would like to know what specific steps your administration is taking to safeguard Washingtonians from harmful federal policies. How will you ensure that our state continues to receive its fair share of federal funding, and what plans are in place to protect the tax dollars Washington sends to the federal government?
I urge you to take a strong stance in defending our state’s financial stability and the well-being of its residents. Please continue to push back against policies that would disproportionately harm Washington and keep us informed on how we can support these efforts.
Thank you for your leadership and for taking the time to address these concerns. I look forward to your response.
