When the new Senators from Georgia are seated and VP Kamala Harris is sworn into her office to act as the President of the Senate, Democrats will control the upper chamber by the narrowest of margins.
The last time this happened, Democrats and Republicans entered into a power-sharing arrangement and split committee chairs between the two parties.
I think it goes without saying that the idea of the GOP offering to extend such a courtesy were positions reversed is laughable at best. Democrats have a chance to prove that governance in good faith, executed by people who believe in government, can make a difference in people's lives. Please don't throw that away in order to extend an olive branch to Republicans who will just slap it out of your hand.
Insist on full control of all committee chairs.
