A PUBLIC SERVICE Reminder

A reminder to all government representatives…. Being a part of the government in a democracy means you are an elected PUBLIC SERVANT. You are in your position to SERVE your constituents, the American people, the Alabamian people. You are there to enact policy in the best interest of the public, represent the public and their needs, improve the daily lives of the public, and watch out for the most vulnerable of them. Your number one goal should be to HELP people, help them get support they need, give every person an equal opportunity to succeed, and protect them from harm. In addition, defend our rights and freedoms. You have a RESPONSIBILITY to THE PEOPLE. You are NOT in your position to run the government as a money making venture, a big business. You are NOT in your position to get RICH or serve the interests of only a small minority of rich, privileged few. You are NOT in your position to serve your power trip and to publicize imagined/exaggerated “issues” to garner support for your continued reign. You are NOT in your position to make an enemy out of any one group within your base of constituents or to create infighting. DO. YOUR. JOB. and SERVE THE PEOPLE, not yourself!!
