Fund Public Education NOW!

I am writing as a concerned constituent to urge you to take immediate action to prioritize and fully fund public education. Our public schools are the foundation of a healthy democracy and a thriving economy, and yet they are consistently underfunded and overstretched. Educators, students, and families across the country are doing more with less every year. Class sizes are growing, buildings are crumbling, and teachers are leaving the profession in record numbers due to low pay and lack of support. Meanwhile, families struggle to access the resources and opportunities that quality public education should guarantee for every child—regardless of their ZIP code. It’s time to stop giving billionaires tax breaks while working people are left behind. Corporate subsidies and tax loopholes for the ultra-wealthy come at the direct expense of the very programs—like public education—that benefit the majority of Americans. Investing in schools is one of the most effective ways to strengthen our communities, support working families, and build a better future for our country. Public education benefits everyone. It prepares our next generation of leaders, workers, and citizens. It reduces inequality, promotes upward mobility, and drives local economies. When schools are strong, communities thrive. I urge you to support bold, sustained investment in public education at every level. Fully fund Title I. Expand access to early childhood education. Support after-school and summer programs. Increase teacher pay and ensure every school has the resources to serve its students well. And please—stop giving handouts to billionaires while children sit in under-resourced classrooms. Let’s show the American people that Congress is willing to invest in their future—not just the wealthiest few.
