I urge you to oppose Senate Bill 172. This law will hurt migrants here legally and US citizens by allowing anyone who “looks” foreign to be arrested. This will cause undue harm to people here legally and their families in the form of trauma, stress, fear, and loss of income while detained. This will open up the state for expensive and numerous lawsuits by citizens and those here legally by violating their rights. Please, please oppose this bill.
