Nobody should live in poverty. It doesn't matter how much or how little they work. We have the resources and means to ensure everyone has their basic necessities met. How much abuse would be prevented if people knew they could leave abusive circumstances without fear of homelessness, starvation, and disease. How many lives would be saved by ensuring everyone had shelter, food, warmth, electricity, communication, and healthcare? We have the resources, stop means testing survival. You have the power to save countless lives, and make our country more prosperous than it's ever been. Wield it and stop offering our lives to save the sensibilities of the rich.
