Support Lebanon War Powers Resolutions: Hands Off Lebanon Now!

I am writing to demand immediate support for Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s Lebanon War Powers Resolution, H.Con.Res.84, and any companion legislation requiring the removal of U.S. Armed Forces from unauthorized hostilities in Lebanon.
Congress has not declared war on Lebanon. Congress has not authorized U.S. military involvement in Israel’s assault. Yet the United States continues to provide Israel with weapons, intelligence, logistics, diplomatic cover, and military coordination as Israel bombs Lebanese towns and cities, displaces civilians, and escalates a regional war.
Drop Site News reports that Tyre/Sour is now an epicenter of Israel’s assault. Israel issued displacement orders for an entire city, bombed residential areas, destroyed homes and businesses, and carried out waves of strikes even after a supposed ceasefire. One strike killed three people, injured at least 17, and destroyed an entire residential block. Lebanese civil defense workers described it as the worst night of the war.
This is exactly why the War Powers Resolution exists. No president should be allowed to drag the United States into another illegal war without congressional authorization, and no member of Congress should hide behind procedure while civilians are buried under rubble.
I urge you to:
Support and vote YES on H.Con.Res.84, the Lebanon War Powers Resolution.
Demand a Senate companion if one has not already been introduced.
Support H.Res.1146, standing with the people of Lebanon against Israel’s illegal invasion, war crimes, and ethnic cleansing.
End U.S. intelligence sharing, targeting assistance, logistics, weapons transfers, and military coordination for Israel’s attacks on Lebanon.
Demand an immediate Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory, an end to airstrikes, humanitarian and reconstruction aid, and accountability for war crimes.
The United States must not assist Israel in bombing, occupying, or ethnically cleansing Lebanon. Congress must act now to end unauthorized U.S. involvement and stop this war before it expands further.
