Uphold Ukraine's sovereignty, deter authoritarian aggression

Congress must take decisive action to reinforce our commitment to NATO and Ukraine in the face of destabilizing threats from Republicans and isolationist elements. Abandoning our allies would severely undermine the principles of collective defense and territorial sovereignty that have underpinned European security since the end of World War II. Continued military and economic support is imperative not only for Ukraine's self-determination, but also to uphold the rules-based international order against authoritarian aggression and safeguard long-term peace across the region. Capitulating to Russia's neo-imperial designs or turning our back on NATO would embolden further transgressions and acts of aggression that could spiral into wider conflict. Safeguarding democracy and territorial integrity must remain our guiding principles, even amidst domestic political pressures.
