Greetings. I am a voting constituent in rural west Texas.
One year anniversary of January 6, 2020 is upon us. Watching commemorative events are reviving the horror of that day. I sat and cried then. I’m about to do the same today.
But what is becoming crystal clear is that those events will not be ignored or denied or disavowed or forgotten. We are listening. Watching. Remembering.
We want to know WHY.
Events are being clarified. True patriots are helping the January 6 committee find the way to the truth. Even though roadblocks have been raised at every opportunity. By a president who lost and could not accept it. And by a party who brought him back to life to serve their own political purposes.
And by bringing him back to life has created the crisis we find ourselves in today.
All it would take to prove that country matters over politics is for GOP leaders to put a stop to the continued lies that are damaging our democracy. To call them out in a unified, concerted, determined manner.
The tide is turning folks. Y’all can can still choose the right side of history. Of country. Of patriotism. Of moral salvation.
All it takes is to call out the actions of the man behind the curtain. The emperor that has no clothes. The one person who has laid your party low. And along with it, our country. One man did this. With your help.
And for that, history will not forget. Please act before it’s too late.
