I am writing to urge you to denounce the dinner that former President Trump had with Nick Fuentes. Fuentes is a self-described white nationalist who consistently makes anti-semitic and hateful comments. Trump lent credence and legitimacy to a Holocaust-denier, while he dined on the very soil of a nation that fought against the Nazis in World War II. When will you stand up for common decency and against hatred and bigotry? When will you prove that you care about others and not just about power? I've lost all faith in you as leaders and as Christians. As Episcopal Bishop of Colorado, the Right Reverend Kris Stoever, recently said "Jesus did not teach violence or hatred; he taught us to love. At our baptism, we promise to live that love by seeking and serving Christ in ALL persons, by striving for justice and peace, and by respecting the dignity of EVERY human being. The love of Christ extends to everyone." If you can't denounce anti-semitic, hateful people, you aren't living as a true Christian. And you should be ashamed of yourself.
