An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Defend Press Freedom — Stop the War on Independent Media

163 so far! Help us get to 250 signers!

The press must be free from government intimidation, and I need you to stand up and say so — loudly, on the record, right now. America is not a monarchy. It is not a dictatorship. The moment elected officials go silent while the executive branch pressures, punishes, and sidelines journalists is the moment we lose the republic. Corporate media has already been compromised — outlets bending to political pressure, spiking stories, self-censoring to protect access. Independent journalists are filling that gap, and they are being targeted for it. This is not a partisan issue. A government that controls the narrative controls everything that follows. Your constituents are watching protests fill the streets of DC because people understand what's at stake. I need you to match that urgency — introduce or co-sponsor legislation protecting press freedom, speak out against any executive interference with journalism, and treat this as the constitutional crisis it is.
