Hold a Town Hall, Explain Your Actions
7 so far! Help us get to 10 signers!
I am writing as your constituent to demand that you hold a public, in-person town hall meeting during the current congressional recess, which runs from May 23 to June 2. You were elected to represent us—not to hide from us.
Too many Republicans, including yourself, have demonstrated a troubling pattern of prioritizing donors, party interests, and political expediency over the needs and voices of your constituents. Time and time again, we’ve witnessed decisions and votes that do not reflect the will or well-being of the people in this district. Whether it’s refusing to protect basic rights, undermining democratic norms, or siding with corporate interests at the expense of working families—your silence and absence only deepen the divide.
We are not asking. We are demanding transparency and accountability. You owe us an explanation. This is your recess—your chance to come home and face the people you supposedly serve. If you refuse to hold a town hall, it will only confirm what many of us already fear: that you no longer believe you are accountable to the people who elected you.
You must show up. We are paying attention.
