Pass and FUND rape kit bills: LD 1816 and 549

I’m writing in support of LD 549 and 1816. Both bills had almost unanimous bipartisan support BUT appropriations didn’t fund them. This cannot happen again! As you know, it is unconscionable that sexual assault cases languish because we don’t require rape kits to be processed and tracked. We are the ONLY state in the union without such a system. Please do all you can to move these bills forward and get it FUNDED! Thank you
