An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Investigate Gabbard’s firing of Venezuela intelligence authors.

5 so far! Help us get to 10 signers!

Evidently this administration is suppressing valid intelligence assessments on sensitive matters like Venezuela, casting aside principles and expertise in service of political agendas. Firing the leaders who compiled the latest assessment on Venezuela is a blatant attempt to stifle their findings. As members of a co-equal branch of government, it is imperative that Congress investigate this deeply concerning behavior without regard for the President's popularity. Governance must be grounded in facts and intelligence rather than blind loyalty tests. The precedent being set undermines the integrity of intelligence gathering and analysis vital to sound policymaking. For the sake of upholding democratic principles, this latest transgression warrants a resolute response through Congressional oversight.
