Horrified by DOGE

I am writing to you today to express my intense concern and horror over Elon Musk's unwieldy influence in our country via the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), and to ask what you intend to do about it. DOGE is executing an unprecedented attack on the federal government, laying off thousands of federal workers, locking congressmen and others out of federal buildings, gutting and abolishing institutions established lawfully by congress. And this is before I even talk about the dangerous breach of Americans' private financial data without authorization. None of this is normal. None of this is in accordance with law. The job of auditing the government and making the decisions to cut spending belongs to Congress, not to a billionaire with no oversight or authorization. He has not been elected or appeared before Congress. DOGE was not established via Congressional approval. Where is the congressional authorization? Where is congressional oversight? Where is the transparency? Where is the respect for and adherence to the rule of law?
