NO SAVE ACT. No to voter suppression. NO MORE FUNDS FOR ICE

NO to the SAVE ACT. NO MEGA ACT. Our democracy is more imperilled by VOTER SUPPRESSION than by voter fraud. As you well know (or should know) voter fraud is vanishingly rare. We see efforts by Trump to steal the election by suppressing the vote, by stealing voter rolls in Georgia, by spreading LIES about election integrity. He asked someone to find votes for him, he's publicly joked about never having to vote again, he's acknowledged that losing the mid-terms will mean impeachment. I am appalled that so many elected representatives in both houses claim to honour the late wonderful JOHN LEWIS and then support voter suppression. Now I see that House Republicans are starting a more extreme version of the SAVE Act—either the Make Elections Great Again Act or the Save America Act- and trying to insert these into the current DHS funding bill. THOSE ARE UNNECESSARY and DESTRUCTIVE: they are VOTER SUPPRESSION BILLS. Remember: the DANGER TO OUR ELECTIONS AND OUR DEMOCRACY IS VOTER SUPPRESSION AND ELECTION ROLL THEFT. It is already illegal for non-citizens to vote and as you know, it does not happen. More instances of fraud have been perpetrated by GOP officials voting twice or voting in the wrong state. PLEASE OPPOSE THESE ADDITIONS: ALSO, OPPOSE GIVING ANY ADDITIONAL FUNDS TO FEDERAL AGENCIES THAT BREAK THE LAW AND VIOLATE THE CONSTITUTION. ICE and DHS COMMITS MORE CRIMES THAN IMMIGRANTS. If you aren't swayed by moral arguments, remember that it costs more to have immigrants with legal status locked up in for-profit concentration camps than it does to have them working and paying taxes. IT IS IRRESPONSIBLE TO CONTINUE TO FUND A ROGUE AGENCY.
