An open letter to the U.S. Congress

PROTECT TRANS PEOPLE

15 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!

Recent hysteria after the abhorrent murder of Charlie Kirk Has created a severe environment of anti-transgender hate. In the House, there are ridiculous calls to arrest & institutionalize trans people, though there is no evidence that trans people had anything to do with Kirk’s murder, nor are they responsible for the mass shootings we’ve unfortunately grown used to. I urge you to fight these bigoted calls for harassment of trans people, and furthermore, this hysteria shows that it is past time to enact the Equality Act to protect all members of the LGBTQIA+ communities. Please take a stand for human rights and encourage your colleagues to fight for them too. Pass the Equality Act now.
