An open letter to the U.S. Supreme Court

Demand freedom of the press!

2 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

Donald Trump has repeatedly called for journalists and talk show hosts like Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert, Kaitlin Collins, Nicole Wallace, and Don Lemon to be fired and investigated. After Colbert was told he would be barred from interviewing a Democratic lawmaker, he took a stand on live television and risked his career by defying them. Explain to me how you are supposedly protecting our first amendment rights to free speech and a free press when you’re quietly allowing Trump to suppress them? Why are celebrities, reporters, and everyday residents doing more to protect our Constitution than the representatives WE THE PEOPLE literally hired to do so? We cannot have a free and well informed society when one branch of the government suppresses the ability to maintain a free press. Stand up and do your job, or stand down and let someone more capable do it for you… Perhaps Stephen Colbert will be available after you stand by and allow him to be silenced?
