Our democracy is collapsing in plain sight. The assassinations. The arrests. The violent overreach. The normalization of tyranny. This is not theoretical, no matter how hard the White House thug tries to gaslight the nation. It is happening, and you hold power. You will either fight for this country or go down in history as one of the cowards who watched it burn. You are not above us. You work for us. We elected you. If you keep sitting on your hands while this nation is dismantled, we will organize, vote, and remove you — because we can, and we must.
Here’s what has already happened:
The assassination of Minnesota House Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband, murdered by a right-wing extremist with a kill list of Democratic leaders. The shooting of Senator John Hoffman and his wife, both gunned down while she shielded their child. The deployment of federal troops in Los Angeles, against Governor Newsom’s direct orders — an unconstitutional, authoritarian move. A grotesque military parade on the so-called president’s birthday, straight out of a dictatorship.
And now, the escalation continues:
U.S. Senator Alex Padilla was forcibly detained by Homeland Security for asking a question at a press event. Handcuffed. Silenced. Detained without cause. Padilla later said the obvious: “If this can happen to a senator, imagine what happens to ordinary Americans.” Even Senator Lisa Murkowski called it “shocking at every level.” Meanwhile, Republicans like Speaker Mike Johnson mocked Padilla and blamed him for being “a spectacle.” NYC Comptroller and mayoral candidate Brad Lander was arrested by ICE for asking to see a warrant while supporting a constituent. Governor Hochul witnessed it and called it “bullshit. Judges and other officials are being systematically arrested under politically driven circumstances.
This is not law enforcement. This is political suppression. This is what fascism looks like.
We are also witnessing: The gutting of public institutions, The firing of federal employees for disloyalty,
Repeal of drug protections, Gutting environmental and education policy,
And the withdrawal from global health cooperation.
This is not leadership. It is a hostile takeover of our government. If you’re not willing to name it out loud, on the record, and without apology, then you are not doing your job. Impeachment is not optional. It is your constitutional duty.
The thug in the White House has turned his power against the people. He is criminalizing dissent, militarizing policy, and silencing opposition with force. That’s impeachable. If you won’t stand up now, then when? Or will you ever? I’m telling you clearly, fiercely, and without hesitation: Your inaction makes you complicit. If you won’t act, we will elect people who can. We are already organizing. We are already watching. We are not going anywhere. Do your job or we’ll find someone who will.
