Stop the Triumphant Arch—This Is a Moral and Fiscal Insult

I am demanding that you immediately block, defund, and publicly oppose President Trump’s proposed construction of a so-called “Triumphant Arch.” This project is an insult to the American people and a grotesque misuse of public funds.
Let me be absolutely clear: if this country does not have the money to guarantee healthcare, affordable housing, a living wage, food security, and basic dignity for its people, then it certainly does not have the money for a vanity monument.
Millions of Americans are rationing insulin, skipping doctor visits, sleeping in their cars, and working full-time jobs while still living in poverty. Families are one medical emergency away from bankruptcy. Veterans are struggling to access care. Children are going hungry. And your response is to entertain the construction of a massive, self-congratulatory arch?
This is not leadership. It is moral rot.
A “Triumphant Arch” does nothing to improve public safety, public health, education, infrastructure, or economic stability. It creates no meaningful benefit for working Americans. It exists solely as an ego project—one that demands taxpayer money while offering nothing in return.
Congress controls the purse strings. You are not powerless. You have both the authority and the obligation to say no.
If you approve funding for this monument while claiming there is “no money” for healthcare, housing, or wages, then you are openly admitting that spectacle matters more to you than human lives. Voters will remember that.
Stop this project. Refuse the funding. Reassert fiscal responsibility and moral sanity. Put public money where it belongs—into the lives and well-being of the people you were elected to serve, not into a monument to excess.
Anything less is a failure of duty.
