An open letter to the U.S. House of Representatives

Vote NO on H.R. 5300, the Department of State Policy Provisions Act.

I recently became aware of a bill introduced in the House of Representatives that aims to fundamentally reshape how the U.S. Department of State manages its operations. H.R. 5300, titled the “Department of State Policy Provisions Act,” was introduced by Florida Rep. Brian Mast and touches on a wide range of issues, including a key provision granting the Secretary of State new authority to deny or revoke passports for individuals linked to "terrorism". It appears to be so vaguely written and open for interpretation in a way that could be used against law-abiding American citizens who simply may not agree with the current Trump administration. Vote NO on H.R. 5300, the Department of State Policy Provisions Act. Thank you.
