An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Demand DOJ Prosecution of Drug-Facilitated Rape Networks

20 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!

I am writing to express my strong support for the current House Oversight Committee hearings regarding the proliferation of non-consensual "sleep content" and drug-facilitated sexual assault networks. Recent investigations have exposed a depraved international community where men drug their partners, record sexual assaults, and monetize these videos on major platforms. While the TAKE IT DOWN Act was a vital first step in removing this content, we cannot simply delete our way out of a human rights crisis. I urge you to join Representatives like Nancy Mace in pressuring the Department of Justice to prioritize the criminal prosecution of the individuals who record and upload these videos. Under current practices, the platforms are often the only ones facing scrutiny, while the rapists themselves remain anonymous and free to continue their abuse. Specifically, I ask that you: 1. Establish a Dedicated DOJ Task Force: Congress must compel the Department of Justice to establish a specialized task force dedicated to the investigation and prosecution of these drug-facilitated rape networks. This task force should focus on identifying and arresting the individual rapists who commit and record these violent acts, rather than solely pursuing the platforms that host the footage. 2. Increase Penalties: Support legislation that treats the digital distribution of drug-facilitated sexual assault with the same federal severity as the most heinous violent crimes. Which it is. 3. Protect Survivors: Ensure that federal law enforcement has the resources to support victims as they seek justice against their abusers. We must send a clear message: the internet is not a safe haven for rapists. By treating these perpetrators as the dangerous serial rapists they are, the federal government can finally shift the burden of shame away from the survivors and onto the criminals. I expect you to hold the DOJ accountable for protecting American citizens from these coordinated networks of abuse.
