Today I take pen in hand to write and urge you to press the State’s Attorney General to Prosecute DOGE members for their many criminal acts of large scale data breaches in sensitive federal systems.
Recent events involving Elon Musk's DOGE team are widely documented. Teams of unvetted personnel gaining unauthorized access to highly sensitive government databases containing personal information of millions of Americans and it’s a red flag.
As you well know, this large-scale data breach is a severe violation of federal privacy laws like the Privacy Act of 1974 which safeguards citizens' private data.
It’s more than alarming that a private entity — and an Agency that was not created by an act of Congress at the Federal level, as is our law — has been able to illegally access and potentially tamper with critical information such as healthcare records, financial accounts, and social security numbers without consent.
Considering the gravity of this violation, I strongly urge you to join the coalition of state attorneys general suing the Trump administration over DOGE's unlawful actions.
Swift legal action must be taken to hold Musk and his team accountable, protect citizen privacy, and prevent any further exploitation of this security lapse.
Failing to prosecute this egregious breach would set a dangerous precedent undermining data privacy rights. As our elected state officials, it is your duty to defend the public interest.
Mercenaries employed as “DOGE” must face personal consequences for blatantly disregarding the law. Prosecute these cases from the state level, since our Federal Justice Department has been taken over by individuals not beholden to defending the United States or its people.
