An open letter to the President & U.S. Congress

The Great Replacement Theory is a White Nationalist Handbook

4 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

Stop legitimizing and amplifying the poisonous fiction known as the “Great Replacement Theory.” It is not public policy. It is not patriotism. It is not grounded in fact. It is a conspiracy theory rooted in fear, racial resentment, and deliberate division — and it has absolutely no place in the governance of the United States of America. This nation was built on land first inhabited, governed, and stewarded by Indigenous peoples long before European colonization. That is historical fact. America has always been shaped by waves of people from every corner of the globe. Diversity is not an invasion. It is not a threat. It is the story of this country. Yet too often, some of you flirt with rhetoric that frames demographic change as something sinister — as though the presence of Black, Latino, Asian, Middle Eastern, Indigenous, and multiracial Americans somehow weakens this nation. It does not. It strengthens it. When national leaders echo or wink at replacement narratives, you are not simply engaging in abstract debate. You are fueling grievance politics. You are validating extremism. You are signaling to the most radical elements among us that their fears deserve endorsement rather than correction. Ask yourselves plainly: Why treat diversity as danger? Why allow coded language that marginalizes millions of Americans who are every bit as entitled to dignity and opportunity as anyone else? America is not defined by one race, one religion, or one ancestry. It never has been. It is defined by its ideals — liberty, equality under the law, opportunity, and the inherent dignity of every human being. Leadership requires moral clarity. It requires courage. It requires telling the truth even when fear is politically convenient. Reject conspiracy theories outright. Stop normalizing narratives that pit Americans against one another based on race, origin, or faith. Make it unmistakably clear that white nationalist talking points — in any form — will not guide the policies of this country. America’s strength has always come from its diversity, its resilience, and its capacity to move forward together rather than fracture apart. Choose unity over division. Choose truth over fear. Choose leadership worthy of the people you serve — all of them.
