An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Stop ICE Detention — A Child Was Murdered. Act Now.

35 so far! Help us get to 50 signers!

End ICE detention now and release detainees immediately. A mother in ICE custody requested her US citizen child be deported with her to protect the child from an abusive uncle. ICE handed that child directly to the abuser. That child was tortured and murdered. This is not a policy failure — this is a killing carried out under the authority of the federal government. There is no version of this that is acceptable. A child is dead because ICE agents made a choice. The mother's own account, on video, describes what happened. This is documented. This is real. Every day detention continues is another day this system has the power to destroy more families and end more lives. Shut it down.
