Committee hearings at 1? You proud of this bill?

Sincere question: why are you holding House Rules Committee hearings at 1 am? Why, if you are proud of your bill and are sure Americans will support drastic cuts to social safety net programs… why hold a critical Committee hearing and votes at 1 AM when most Americans are asleep? Furthermore… why were hearings held at 10 pm Sunday? It’s almost like you are embarrassed by your legislation? You know, that leaves me wondering, why doesn’t it go into effect until 2029? I would think you would want everyone to have time to read the legislation, listen to the Committee hearings, and then have it go into effect immediately if it was something you were proud of writing and passing.
