An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Enforce Congressional Power Over War!

23 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!

Claw back Article I Section 8 of the Constitution, dangit. While it is right and just that the President have the ability to defend the U.S. without a Congressional declaration of war, and that this should extend to protecting Americans abroad, there is no Constitutional authority for the President to pre-emptively attack nations that might someday pose a military threat to the U.S. Bombing the enemy of an ally, particularly a misguided, wrongheaded ally who is engaged in a genocide on the one hand and acts of terror and murders of civilians on the other, is in no way authorized without Congressional approval. Take back the Constitution. Take back your authority.
