Condemn spread of misinformation and demand accountability from leaders

The President and elected officials have a responsibility to share accurate and truthful information with the public. Spreading deranged videos portraying former leaders being arrested not only undermines trust in democratic institutions, but fuels dangerous conspiracy theories and misinformation. Sharing false media and information about past presidents and others is a crime. This is unhinged behavior. We must demand a higher standard of conduct from those in power and hold them accountable for disseminating false narratives that divide society. We must do better to prevent fake news, lies, and conspiracies. Restoring faith in credible sources and fighting against the normalization of misinformation campaigns should be a top priority to protect the integrity of the political process. Make America tell the truth again!
