Trump tariffs = damage, shakedowns, insider trading. TAKE BACK Congress's powers

Congress has already fecklessly permitted Trump and Musk to usurp the congressional power of appropriations. Now look at Trump's tariffs, look at the mumbo jumbo fake economic equation rationale, look at the way Trump yanked the tariffs up and done and tipped off his followers on social media. Look at the traders who used that info to buy low and sell high. And have a thought for the retirement savings of your constituents. Are the tariffs an insider trading profit scheme? Yes: They have functioned that way. Are the tariffs a coercive shakedown to obtain concessions from certain individuals, and certain nations? Yes, that too. Please, hold hearings to investigate and expose those things. DO OVERSIGHT. But the tariffs are also another example of tyrannical executive overreach. Here's an astute commentator: "And one puzzle about the tariff policy of Donald Trump is why he as president is devising general United States trade policy himself, by a sequence of what can only be called decrees. This is a puzzle because the constitution of the United States expressly provides that trade policy is for Congress. Article I of the constitution provides that Congress is “to regulate Commerce with foreign Nations”. The same Article also provides that Congress is to have the final word on imports and exports - though that provision is framed in terms of it not being for the individual states to have the final word." Do you understand the damage these tariffs are doing? Do you understand the consequences of seeming to pursue an unhinged capricious economic policy? Do you know about the Smoot Hawley tariffs and the Great Depression? I would like to know: How many articles and amendments of the constitution does Trump have to shred before you will take the car keys away from the petulant toddler? Take back the power of Congress. We did not vote for the corruption, greed, tyranny, and wide-ranging harm of Trump and Musk. We did not vote for the constitution to be shredded. Do your job now. Use t he power of congress to do oversight and to limit national emergency declarations. No president has previously used IEEPA to impose tariffs in the way Trump has. Per Lawfare: "But a number of experts have put forward arguments as to why IEEPA may not authorize tariffs of the type and scale the Trump administration is pursuing." DO YOUR JOB. RESCIND THE EMERGENCY DECLARATIONS. STOP the Tariffs. Reclaim congressional powers over appropriations and tariffs. Impeach Trump.
