End Fossil Fuel Subsidies and Fund Clean Energy Now

The time for half-measures on climate is over. I want you to champion legislation that eliminates federal subsidies for fossil fuel companies and redirects that funding into clean energy development. These are profitable industries that don't need taxpayer support — and every dollar propping them up is a dollar not invested in our future. Clean energy is already cheaper to build than new fossil fuel plants in most of the country, and the jobs it creates stay local. Continuing to subsidize oil, gas, and coal while the climate crisis accelerates is a policy choice — and a bad one. Make the right call: cut fossil fuel handouts and put real money behind solar, wind, and clean energy infrastructure.
