According to a Washington Post investigation published May 11, 2025, the administration is freezing funds, delaying approvals, and halting key operations across multiple federal agencies. This includes the Environmental Protection Agency, the Social Security Administration, the Department of Energy, and the National Institutes of Health. These aren’t budget cuts passed by Congress—these are administrative blockades engineered in secret, stalling the basic functions of our democratic government.
This is a stealth shutdown. And it is an abuse of executive power.
This tactic bypasses Congress and undermines both transparency and accountability. It puts at risk vital programs like LIHEAP (heating assistance), veterans’ health initiatives, and clean water enforcement. It violates the public trust—and it demands a strong and immediate response.
