An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Demand Full Investigation and Prosecution of All Epstein Trafficking Accomplices

I am writing to express my strong opposition to the Department of Justice's decision to close its review of the Jeffrey Epstein sex-trafficking investigation without pursuing new prosecutions. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche's announcement that there are no grounds for charges, despite reviewing millions of documents including correspondence, emails, and photographs, is unacceptable to me as your constituent. The DOJ's handling of this matter raises serious concerns about equal justice under law. The temporary removal of 2016 FBI tips from the DOJ website on Saturday, followed by justifications about protecting certain individuals from "sensationalist claims," suggests that political considerations may be influencing prosecutorial decisions. Survivor Lisa Phillips has identified three specific violations: many documents remain undisclosed past the mandated release date, and the DOJ released survivors' names without permission. A 2011 email from Epstein to Ghislaine Maxwell referenced specific individuals spending hours at his residence, yet no one beyond Maxwell has faced prosecution for enabling this trafficking operation. Sex trafficking requires a network of accomplices, facilitators, and knowing participants. The evidence reviewed by the DOJ spans millions of documents, yet we are told no one else can be charged. I urge you to support Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer's demand for access to unredacted documents and to push for full transparency about whether all relevant materials have been released. Congress must use its oversight authority to ensure the DOJ conducts a thorough investigation focused on justice for survivors rather than protecting powerful individuals. I will not move past this issue until every person who participated in or enabled Jeffrey Epstein's sex-trafficking operation is held accountable. I expect you to use your position to demand answers and pursue prosecutions wherever the evidence leads, regardless of who may be implicated.
