First, I want the Senator to vote NO on Emil Bove’s nomination to the Southern District of New York. Bove has publicly expressed willingness to defy court orders, which is a direct threat to the rule of law and the integrity of the judiciary. His track record as a former federal prosecutor shows troubling signs of overreach and disregard for legal limits. Someone who openly suggests they might ignore judicial authority is not fit for a lifetime judicial appointment.
Second, I want the Senator to fight to remove the AI moratorium provision from the reconciliation bill. This moratorium would delay critical AI safety regulations for up to 10 years, effectively giving Big Tech a green light to experiment with powerful, untested AI systems on the public—without accountability. That’s dangerous. The provision would also undermine worker protections, especially for those in jobs at risk of AI displacement.
On top of that, it strips states of their rights to regulate AI technologies—even in sectors like education, housing, and healthcare—by imposing sweeping federal preemption. Finally, it’s outrageous to force states to choose between federal broadband funds and the ability to enforce consumer protections. That’s a false choice, and it’s unacceptable.
Please prioritize removing this provision from the bill. Thank you.
