$8 Million a Day to Elon Musk: Who’s Watching the Watchdog?
2 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!
I’m writing to request URGENT clarification regarding the federal government’s financial relationship with Elon Musk and his affiliated companies—including SpaceX, Tesla, and Starlink. Public estimates suggest these entities collectively earn over $8 MILLION PER DAY from U.S. government contracts, totaling approximately $3 BILLION annually across NASA, the Department of Defense, and other agencies.
Given the scale of taxpayer-funded contracts, I am deeply concerned about oversight—especially under the newly formed Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), led by Musk himself.
Specifically:
1. How many of these federal contracts have been reviewed by DOGE?
2. What steps have been taken to ensure an INDEPENDENT review of contracts involving Musk, given his direct leadership of DOGE?
3. Who, if anyone, has been appointed as a neutral third-party auditor or watchdog?
It is vital for public trust that contract accountability is not compromised by self-dealing or conflicts of interest. I urge you to make these findings public and ensure that standard oversight procedures are preserved.
