Say No to Florida’s Six-Week Abortion Ban (SB 300)

I am contacting you today requesting that you do not vote for SB 300, the bill that would institute a six week abortion ban. We have no right in saying what women should or should not do with their bodies. Even if you think abortion SHOULD be legal, six weeks is too little time to figure out that you’re actually pregnant, let alone to actually make the decision. Please, I beg of you. Think of the bigger picture. Would you look a woman in the eye who has been raped and tell her “you need to bring your rapist’s child to term”? I sure as hell wouldn’t. And coming from a party that insists on being small government, a bill that imposes these restrictions seems pretty big. Once again, I ask that you say NO to SB 300. Thank you.
