Humanitarian concerns and the welfare of child and adult citizens

I support a truce between Israel and Palestine. Civilians are being harmed. I support civilians of every nationality. We cannot reflexively choose to support a particular side all the time for personal, religious, or political reasons. Instead we need to examine the situation from a new way, a humanitarian perspective, considering especially the fates of civilians and children. With less regard for what "side" they were born a part of and more regard for the human rights of each and every person.
