States-Shut Down ICE Detention Centers Now
Shut down ICE detention centers in our state and help to shut them down around the country. Fifty-two people have died in custody. Detainees are living with worms, standing sewage water, and measles outbreaks. This is not a policy disagreement — this is a human rights catastrophe happening on American soil, and you have the power to act.
The evidence is no longer deniable. Journalists have documented these conditions firsthand. Reports of pregnancies and sexual assault inside these facilities go unaddressed. Funding continues to flow to contractors who are failing basic standards of human decency. Every day this continues is a choice — a choice to look away.
End funding to these facilities and push for the immediate closure of ICE detention operations. Your constituents are watching, and they will remember who stood up and who stayed silent.
