An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Stop Trump & Musk’s Dangerous Government Overreach: HUD Records

15 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!

Trump’s latest executive order, as reported by the Wall Street Journal, forces federal agencies to justify expenses while mandating sweeping staff cuts. At the same time, ProPublica has exposed how DOGE, under Elon Musk, has gained access to confidential HUD records, including data on housing discrimination and domestic violence victims. This reckless consolidation of power threatens transparency, privacy, and the integrity of government operations. Congress and state leaders must act now to prevent mass firings that cripple essential services and stop DOGE’s overreach into sensitive records. The Atlantic warns that these changes could politicize government functions and weaken critical protections. Immediate oversight is needed to safeguard the rights of all Americans and prevent executive power from being weaponized. I urge you to take swift action before irreversible harm is done.
