How Many Fake Crises Does Trump Have to Invent Before You Act?
35 so far! Help us get to 50 signers!
This has gone from embarrassing to dangerous.
Yesterday, Donald Trump announced he is “bringing Columbus Day back from the ashes” — a holiday that was never abolished, never canceled, never even threatened. It’s been celebrated continuously, including under President Biden.
There were no ashes. There was no funeral. There was no need for a hero.
But that didn’t stop Grandpa from dusting off his rusty sword and charging at another imaginary enemy, like a confused Don Quijote lost in his own delusions of grandeur.
This isn’t leadership.
It isn’t patriotism.
It’s ego-driven chaos dressed up as a crusade — and every second you let it continue, you insult the intelligence of every American paying attention.
If Trump isn’t genuinely losing his grip on reality, then Congress must ask:
What disaster is he trying to distract us from now?
Another court defeat?
Another economic collapse?
Another foreign policy disaster?
Because no sane, competent leader wakes up and screams “I’m saving Columbus Day!” unless they’re either out of touch with reality — or terrified you’ll notice what’s burning behind them.
Congress, the world is watching. History will not excuse cowardice.
Get Grandpa —
before he rants for an hour about saving Sunday from being renamed Daughterday, drops another insane executive order, sends his cabinet onto Fox News to prop up his fantasy, and forces Congress to pass a bill to fix a problem he invented just so he can pretend to solve it.
