Mainers are already losing jobs because of Federal funding disruption!

Maine citizens are already losing jobs because of Elon Musk’s illegal tampering with federal funds distributions. WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO STOP THIS? Penobscot Community Health Care, the largest FQHC in Maine, serves thousands of patients from Jackman to Belfast. They are a safety net for every marginalized population in Maine. Many of these folks would have no care without us. Their services include counseling, psych, PT, addiction treatment, in addition to primary care. As an FQHC, they rely on federal grants. PCHC has been unable to draw any federal money for weeks. As of Friday, many non clinical staff will be furloughed. Some services and employees have already been eliminated. If they do not receive federal money, PCHC will likely close. And I am not being dramatic when I say that if that happens, people will die. There is no place else for them to get care. The loss of this organization and similar ones across the country will be catastrophic. As a member of Congress you have the power, the responsibility and the obligation to DO SOMETHING to stop the destruction of our government systems. At the very least, stop helping those who are trying to destroy our government!
