Corrupt and Unlawful Campaign Practices - IMPEACH TRUMP NOW!
3 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!
I am writing to urge Congress to open an impeachment investigation into President Donald Trump based on corrupt and unlawful campaign practices during his 2024 re-election bid. These actions represent a direct threat to the integrity of our democratic processes and demand immediate accountability.
Trump’s campaign included numerous violations, such as offering regulatory favors to oil and gas executives in exchange for donations, unlawfully coordinating with super PACs, and accepting prohibited contributions from Elon Musk. Specifically, Musk’s involvement extended to providing support via X (formerly known as Twitter) and running a million-dollar “lottery” scheme that rewarded individuals who publicly supported Trump.
In addition to these campaign finance violations, Trump engaged in harmful rhetoric and behavior that undermines the dignity of the presidency and threatens public safety. He referred to immigrants in Aurora, Colorado, as “bloodthirsty criminals” from whom voters must be “rescued,” inflaming racist and xenophobic sentiments. He also threatened physical violence, including murder, against political opponents, a U.S. military commander, journalists, and protesters. Furthermore, he spread dangerous disinformation regarding U.S. hurricane disaster response, putting American lives at risk.
These actions are not only unethical but also corrosive to our democracy and social fabric. Congress must act decisively by initiating impeachment proceedings to uphold its constitutional duty to safeguard the rule of law and protect the foundational principles of our nation.
Failure to act would set a dangerous precedent, allowing corruption, disinformation, and threats of violence to go unchecked. The American people deserve leaders who are held accountable for their actions and committed to preserving public trust. The time to act is now.
I respectfully urge you to prioritize this matter and take a stand for accountability, transparency, and democracy.
