Pass H562 to Fund Mental Health and Addiction Care
51 so far! Help us get to 100 signers!
North Carolina is short on the basics: therapists, detox beds, primary care in rural counties. H562, the Healthcare Investment Act, puts real money into fixing that, and I want to see it signed into law.
This bill already cleared one chamber with support from both parties, which tells me this isn't a partisan wish list. It's a recognition that families across the state are waiting weeks for a counseling appointment or driving an hour for addiction treatment because nothing exists closer to home. Rural clinics are closing. Overdose deaths haven't gone away just because the headlines moved on.
I'm asking you to vote yes on H562 and keep it moving. Every month of delay is another month someone in crisis has nowhere to turn. North Carolina has the chance to put money behind mental health, addiction treatment, and basic healthcare access before this session ends. Get it to the governor's desk.
