An open letter to the President

Deceptive Memes Reflect Badly On The Poster

14 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!

Please instruct your media staff to stop posting deceptive memes on official White House accounts. I am sure someone thought it was simply hilarious to edit a photo of a woman being arrested, to make it look like she was crying, and to darken her skin. Tell that staffer to save stuff like that for personal accounts, not official ones. Even if they have "no sense of decency," it casts doubt on the credibility of everyone in this administration. And to be honest, that credibility could use a boost. The response that "the memes will continue" was just plain juvenile. All this is bad for your agenda and legacy.
