I am writing to you today to ask you to stop allowing the conflicts of interest between Elon Musk, a special government employee AND recipient of millions of dollars of federal funds and grants via his multiple companies currently doing business with the Federal Government.
When asked if there was a potential for conflict, Elon seemed to shrug the question off and say he would point it out. This response in and of itself is a conflict of interest.
If Elon is indeed a Special Government Employee, who is the sponsoring agency and the supervisor of record? Has he and the others working for him filed the required financial conflicts of interest paperwork and have any conflicts been adjudicated?
If the goal of DOGE is to trim waste and eliminate fraud, why are they staffing programmers instead of auditors or accountants?
This is illegal, unconstitutional, and has to stop. As FDR said in his January 6, 1941 State of the Union address:
We must especially beware of that small group of selfish men who would clip the wings of the American eagle in order to feather their own nests.
What are you doing to ensure due process has been followed?
What are you doing to prevent an unelected person from meddling in government affairs, while maintaining multiple conflicts of interest?
What are you doing to protect America from Elon and his band of programmers?
I look forward to your response on the actions you are taking to prevent conflicts of interest and ensure that if there is fraud, that is what is being cut, rather than the current indiscriminate and mindless cancelling of necessary programs.
