America deserves a functioning legislature — not a shutdown, not performative walk-outs, not cable-news theatrics. We need governing — not stunts.
Republicans must negotiate with Democrats because divided government is not optional — it is reality. The only way a bill becomes law in this country is bicameral passage and presidential signature. There is no path other than compromise.
In the meantime — real people are suffering.
According to the USDA Household Food Security Report (2023) — 44.2 million people in the United States lived in food-insecure households. That was a 31% jump in one year.

Millions of Americans depend on SNAP to survive — and when Congress refuses to govern, that benefit is delayed, reduced, or frozen in place while grocery prices continue to rise.
According to the Urban Institute (Hunger Report, Feb 2024):
1 in 5 adults in the U.S. reported food insecurity in the last 12 months.
According to Feeding America (2024):
Every $10 increase in grocery prices pushes another ~1 million Americans into food insecurity.
These are not theoretical numbers — they are human lives.
Instead of letting this situation collapse further, you need to do the job taxpayers pay you to do.
Republicans — negotiate with Democrats.
Democrats — negotiate with Republicans.
Both sides — sit down, sign compromise legislation, and reopen the full functioning of the federal government.
End the stalemate.
No more press conferences — governing happens in the committee rooms and in the chambers — not on social media, not on TV hit-segments.
Americans are starving — literally.
Congress is not an audience. Congress is a workplace.
Clock in. Do your job.
The American people do not need more speeches.
They need food, stability, and a functioning government — right now.
