I urge you to vote NO on the SAVE America Act. This bill suppresses voters, not fraud. It forces Americans to show passports or birth certificates to register or update their registration, even though 94 percent of voters rely on remote registration methods that this bill would effectively eliminate. Millions of eligible citizens would lose access to the ballot.
Supporters of this bill claim it protects elections from noncitizen voting, but the facts tell a different story. The Heritage Foundation has searched for voter fraud for decades and found only a handful of cases out of 1.5 billion ballots cast. No evidence shows that noncitizen voting has ever influenced an election. No immigrant would risk attention from authorities by registering or voting. The claim simply makes no sense.
This bill does nothing to improve election security. It creates barriers that block citizens—especially rural voters, working Americans, and people without passports—from exercising their constitutional right to vote. It also hands the federal government unprecedented control over voter rolls and imposes extreme ID requirements that states have never used.
The SAVE America Act does not save America. It undermines democracy. I ask you to reject this bill and defend every citizen’s right to vote.
