No CR or Debt Ceiling Votes Unless the Lawbreaking Stops

The Republicans need Democratic votes to pass a Continuing Resolution and lift the debt ceiling. Democrats should not give away their votes cheaply - you have a lot of leverage here and there’s no telling when you will have it again. Republicans should only get your votes on anything if they will stop Trump and Musk’s lawbreaking behavior and their end-runs around Congress to spend or cut funding as they like. Republicans may claim they have no power over that, but they do - they just don’t WANT to do anything about it. Make them more uncomfortable about a government shutdown than they are about standing up to Trump and Musk. They are the majority and they put themselves in this position. If they want to be saved from themselves, there’s a price. If you can, stop their Medicaid spending cuts and tax cuts for the rich too. We should not give the billionaires more money by stealing it from poor and working people. There should be NO Democratic votes for a CR or debt ceiling without massive concessions from the Republicans!
