Reject Kennedy's Nomination Over Questionable Financial Oversight at Waterkeeper Alliance

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s tenure at Waterkeeper Alliance raises serious concerns about his financial management and transparency. The flow of over $67 million through the organization to support environmental litigation in the Bahamas appears highly irregular. Despite repeated requests, Kennedy failed to provide adequate documentation or explanation for how these substantial funds were utilized. Such a lack of accountability over massive sums of money intended for environmental causes is unacceptable. Kennedy's inability or unwillingness to account for the appropriate use of tens of millions of dollars from major donors calls into question his competence and ethics in leading a federal agency. The public deserves full transparency on how its tax dollars will be managed. Given these troubling financial improprieties at Waterkeeper Alliance, Kennedy's nomination to lead an agency overseeing vital public services and an enormous budget should be firmly opposed.
