Supreme Court: Rein In Trump’s Unconstitutional War on Iran

33 so far! Help us get to 50 signers!

President Trump’s recent bombing of Iran, carried out without congressional approval or an imminent threat, violates Article I of the Constitution and the War Powers Resolution. The Constitution gives Congress, not the president, the authority to declare war. Legal experts agree that any use of military force without this authorization is unlawful. Yet once again, President Trump has acted unilaterally, ignoring constitutional limits and bypassing public accountability. This isn’t just a legal breach, it’s a dangerous precedent. The intelligence community has not confirmed Iran was building nuclear weapons, and yet this strike has escalated tensions, risking regional war. Congress has demanded restraint. It’s time for the Court to act. Uphold the separation of powers, review these violations, and reassert the constitutional checks that protect our democracy. If no one stands up to this abuse of power, our laws and the lives they are meant to safeguard are in jeopardy.
